CONVENTIONS:
The situations and surroundings are realistic, this appeals to the young target audience as they can relate to the narrative. For example under age drinking, in order to act cool.

The characters are young, attractive and well dressed. This appeals to the opposite sex and the audience can relate to the similar lifestyle.There is often reference to addictions such as alcohol and cigarettes. The audience are able to familiarise themselves with this and it also shows the problems young adults have in life, for example under age drinking.
- The shots used were often close ups, emphasising emotions. This shows the protagonist enjoying themselves, and shows the strenuous steps young adults go to, to become involved in a group of friends.
In this picture you can see the protagonist under the influence of smoking, this shows the vulnerability young adults face to be part of a social group.
USE:
location for our video was our local town centre. This kept the video realistic and our target audience can relate to familiar surroundings.
We included several close-ups of the protagonist to show his emotions, It showed him excited on his way to the party, this helps the audience relate to the protagonist due to realistic features.
